AccentSoft Team Announces Version 2.30



AccentSoft Team today announces the release of version 2.30 of Accent OFFICE Password Recovery, an all-in-one password recovery tool for documents created in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel. Designed for the Windows OS, Accent OFFICE Password Recovery gives you a chance to recover a lost or forgotten password, regardless of its type and complexity. The program supports almost all versions of MS Office.



Successful password recovery is achieved by three advanced methods, or attacks – a brute force attack, a brute force attack with a mask, and a dictionary-based attack.



In a brute force attack, Accent OFFICE Password Recovery generates and throws all possible combinations of letters, numbers, and other characters at a password-protected file. The length of the password and characters generated are selected by the user. Accent OFFICE Password Recovery allows using a mask; that is, you can specify a range of possible values for each position of a mask. For instance, you can set the program to generate a password with an upper case letter in the first position (A-Z), a lower case letter in the second position (a-z), and a dash (-) in the fourth. By using a mask, you can considerably cut down on password recovery time.



In a dictionary-based attack, Accent OFFICE Password Recovery uses a large text file to throw commonly used words, names, and misspelled words at a protected file. Accent OFFICE Password Recovery has been enhanced to carry out dictionary-based attacks faster and more effectively. The dictionary manager allows you to use several dictionaries sequentially for one session. You can add digits to dictionary words and utilize fully customizable transformations of words, including alterations between upper and lower case for each character, swapping adjacent characters, and omission of characters. This makes password searching lightning fast.
